August 9, 2009 journal, to set them free from the Babylonian banks for pennies a miracle. Let us buy the toxic waste paper delinquent credit card accounts for pennies & give them their freedom. It is a time for sacrifice of our personal amenities to free people from debt. After Hurricane Hugo I tried to purchase from the U.S. Forest Service some of the trees that were down in the Frances Marion Forest along the South Carolina coast but I could not afford to pay them. Before long the wood begin to turn dark color and they told me to come and get it for free, the entire forest, including the odd length logs left behind by the Georgia Pacific harvest teams. I soon found out I could not afford to save all that timber. When I called on an important customer in Texas one that was well healed financially, I stopped in a rose town like Tyler and purchased a dozen red roses to present the buyer. She told me that she had never been given a dozen roses in her life even though she may have passed by millions of them every day to and from work. I paid only $3 for the dozen roses and it meant so much even to a wealthy person whose husband had never stopped to buy them for her. Sometimes its the simple things in our lives that are the most important. Now I have an idea on how to do good deeds for many families costing me only pennies. I once bid on a large inventory to purchase and was told that I needed to increase my price to make the deal work so I added 1/2 of 1% to the top and took off one half of 1% from the bottom and the deal was signed within minutes. I once stood in a strange country as penniless needing to call home without a credit card that would work in the telephone. A smiling face Oriental stranger handed me his credit card even though he could not speak English. I said to him that I want to call the USA pointing my finger in the direction east-ward. The kind gentleman said OK OK OK shaking his head forward so I used his card to call home to my family which was very important to them and me. If you think God does not put angels to pick us up when we fall then you're just not with it in faith for all things. I once topped the Great Smoky Mountain on a cold breezy winter morning going toward Tennessee and there was a young man on the road looking nearly frozen to death so I picked him up and after riding a while he had said very little. He was of adult age going to see his father. I ask if he was hungry and he slowly responded. At Newport Tennessee I stopped in a restaurant asking him what he would like to eat he responded very slowly. I purchased for him what I thought he might eat and sit down with him and ate. After we finished he looked at me very strangely and said. Nobody has ever given me anything before that I did not work to earn. I said to him, well, someone has now given you some-thing free of charge that you will never have to repay. That is like salvation for the soul. It is forever and it is totally free coming with a trillion wonderful fringe benefits. I have sometimes purchased food for traveling people on the road when I did not have enough money to purchase my own but I have never been hungry in my life and not had food. I have purchased motels for people when I thought they were desperate for rest and then I slept in my car many times. That is when the other person did not have a car to sleep in. When I was spontaneously motivated to paint art I put the paint on canvas abundantly. I was never afraid of the painting and never hesitated to move it forward and seldom did I look back to see what those results were because there was always something bigger or better seemingly pressing on mind to paint. Every painting I did always seemed like my first one. If we are swimming in deep water then do not fear the water but be thankful. If it were not for the water then you would be grinding on the bottom, not floating on top. The apostle Paul says to "Be content in whatever state (of affairs or troubles) we are in".
